It's Ordered!

Just ordered truck this morning. After months of lurking and learning I fially pulled the trigger. Very excited and can't wait.

Ordered Lariat with pretty much everything except moon roof, chrome package and tailgate steps. It's autumn Red/two tone/8' bed.

MSRP 60,140, XPlan price 55,268. 5,500 in rebates. 14k for my 04 6.0. I am pretty happy. Always feel like I left some money on the table.............

Pumped... only downer is the plant shuts down for 3 weeks so they are thinking early January delivery. Sales rep said they pick up orders on Wednesdays but mine would not be picked up the first week. Did not get that?

I asked him about the HPFP thing and fuel quality, he claimed to have no clue. I went back and talked to the service manger and he seemed plugged in. Said "the additives are not a bad idea"........

Anyway, can't wait..........................

Not sure where your sales rep got the info... Last I saw, the only down week at KTP between now and the end of the year is the week of 12/26. They are also tentatively scheduled for 2 upcoming Saturday's, 11/19 and 12/10.

Normally unscheduled orders are pulled from the order bank and scheduled each Thursday evening. If the sales rep feels that it will not be picked up this coming week he must know that they have no allocation for this coming week, have other orders ahead of yours that will meet/exceed this coming weeks allocation or he is just guessing...

I considered that. I have always put a cap on my trucks and did not see how that would play with that?

Ahhh...a cap would negate much of the gain in having the step. It might help with resale though. Hard to say.

Point, not that much cash, may add. I thought the same thing about the pto option, not much money. Maybe I should add.

Thanks, forgot about the allocation thing. Man, all this time to make the decision and now I am tense about timing? Go figure...

Not sure I would do the PTO option. It is just a place where you can put your $2,000 PTO. I thought about taking that option with a 450 I just ordered as it will have a dump bed and a snow plow. The folks at Redding truck body where I will be getting the body, told me not to bother. It is all speed regulated, not good for automatics. How you going to move the plow blade while in drive and standing still? They said electric over hydraulic much better way to go. So make sure you have dual alternators if your thinking plow. Keep us posted and how the order is doing. My order goes to tthe factory Wed as well.

I know that excited feeling. Mine (I hope) got ordered last week. I thought the Autumn Red was a nice color also but didnt do the two tone. I am goign to add a splash of aftermarket chrome trim here n there.. Heck Im so excited im already making purchases for it (mudflaps, seatcovers etc). Isn't that sick! Im pulling a 2007 Raptor toyhauler with my 07 and I have to say she pulls that thing nicely...little slow off the line. Its an XLT trim and that seemed good, until I sat in my sisters Explorers heated leather seats. Pulling power and comfort....im hooked, sign me up. Have Fun hope it gets here before Santa arrives
