Hey guys nice recovery on the exploder. I would have "accidentally" forgotten to tighten a strap on the way back. But sounds like you got it fixed and should be ready for Craigslist now, "fresh tune-up". LOL
Well time to make the donuts. Oh btw it's Friday today!
I did not think Exploders had a spark plug issue. I thought that was all left to the V10 in the early years. Sounds like a relatively easy fix if it would have happened in your driveway.
All the Triton motors did it. Usually it was the early ones. I'd not done any over 2000 before.
With the kits they have now, it's a 10 minute fix. You drill out the hole. Tap it, then put an insert in. I jb weld the inserts and let them sit overnight though. New coil too, cause that of course broke...
I have to apologize for not being on here for nearly a month. Work has been nuts lately.
I did find time to pick up a different sled on Friday though.
Bought a 96 Polaris XLT special. Very nice shape, but 6600 miles but fresh rebuild and it really goes. or maybe just in comparsion to the sports.
Bring on the snow. I only was able to put three miles on it.
Dealing with some new Video hosting software. It's kind of a f'd up hybrid software. We host the front end of the software, but another company holds all of the content. What a f'd up POS software. Their documentation is HORRIBLE (basically non-existant). I've kinda sort of got it running. There seems to be a lot of pixie dust to it.
Car is running well, but stupid thing is still leaking a ton of oil. It's down a quart from Friday already with two trips to Shakopee and back. Oil is cheap, but this thing is going through it as fast as gas. Have I mentioned how much I hate oil leaks? What a PITA.
