Ours doesn't have a chimney, it's a re-burner, ventless, except for the fresh air inlet from outside.

when we were doing the construction he said to get what ever size and kind we want and he'll install it, when he told us how much a chimney was that made the decision easy, the biggest one we could find was 48", the thing was the fireplace itself wasn't that expensive, it was the log set, that was $1400!
