Need help.....
Driving my truck last night (97' F250 Heavy duty 4x4 w/460) and she felt sluggish as hell, also I couldn't hear my exhaust make any rumble and I have a flowmaster big block series on it. So I'm assuming that the cat is toast right?? The pipes are so quiet that it sounds stock again. Every one around here also seems to think that the cat is plugged. Now anyone who has ever priced out a replacement from ford knows how much they are. Anyone ever tried one of the aftermarket universal ones? The muffler place might have to do a little mods but the bill will still come out a whole hell of a lot lower than if I took it too the shop. I just don' t want to drop 300 bones on a damn cat. Give me some ideas. Anyone use a high flow unit. If anyone has gone through this before could you please tell me what you did. Thanks very much.
