PLEASE HELP
My excursion (big momma) is like one of my children and shes down and I dont know whats wrong heres the specs and problem if you can help i apprecieate it. . . . . . Shes a 2000 5.4 v8 gas recent oil change and air cleaning, for about a week on three occasions i started her and she would start then immeaditaly die ,unless i reved the engine then shed run fine. I figured bad gas and put some cleaner in her we had no problems for a week so i went about an hour away from home and she blew a spark plug out and snapped a coil on the passenger side farthest one back. I tightened the plug back in as best i could and replaced the coil and started for home i made it 2miles up the road and i heard coils snap again and the plug shoot out the check engine light came on immeaditly followed by the battery light and she died i coasted her to a safe spot and we replaced the plug, coil and installed a helicoil, i try to start and she only cranks over never starting i had to jump her twice just to get her to crank ,then i noticed if i turn the hazards off the interior lights flash like the hazards. . . . . . . . . . .Help please

Sounds like your IAC (idle air control valve) is coming and going, it just needs to be cleaned and you'll be back on the road again. I'll move this down the 5.4 forum to get you some more help.

Cleaning my IAC did not help. I tested it on the bench and it just didn't have enough throw, even though the solenoid barely moves. I had to replace mine. One of the rare parts that are easy to replace on the van.
The lights problems sounds like a bad ground somewhere. I would make sure you have an excellent ground from the body to the - battery terminal.
