I have a set of the stainless western jr. swing-lock mirrors. I can't find a part number on them but they are stamped "rotunda". Would that make these aftermarket clones or factory service replacements? Thanks, Jason
I have the rectangle mirrors on my 64. I want to go with the round ones and am also looking to tow a pop-up so rear vision won't be an issue. It is all a choice that ultimately comes down to personal preference.
Check out the "Garage" link to the forum. Type in the model, year, make your looking for and hit enter. Hundreds of pictures of mirrors. Great source of styles to see what might look good for you on your truck. Added link to my truck from the Garage link that has aftermarket Western style added by a PO. jms
I'm in the same predicament but I kinda like a few I saw on Ebay when I searched for chrome fender mirrors there are a few that are rectangle and look like you could mount them on the fender or door. Door mounting you have to make sure they don't interfere with the vent, made that mistake last time.
Good luck.
I am taking the Western Jr. swing lock mirrors off of my sons 64 F-100. I am going to put on the round mirrors that go in the existing rectangle factory holes in the door. is there any plugs to fill the holes left by the removal of the Western mirrors. not looking for something permanent, just something to keep the weather out until we do the body work?
I am trying to build a mirror sort of similar to the one shown on Old Harleys picture of that green truck 3 years ago. The connector #17731 and #17733 clamp would save me a lot of time.. ND- Bill is this a part you might be able to locate in your system. I can't find it in the catalogs of the suppliers I have.
Anybody else try this and have ideas
