No power to lighter - not the fuse

Howdy folks,

Just bought a 2007 Ranger.
No power to lighter or power outlet and the fuse is not blown.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jim

According to owners manual there is one fuse for cig lighter(number 29) and another for power point.(number 34). Both in panel on drivers side of dash. Did you check both?

Since they're mounted to the same panel, would they share a common ground that could have lost contact?

There is probably a plug between the trim and the body that's loose or something...

Thats my $0.02

Thanks 03 Maz B23.

I found a blown fuse in the 34 slot. Have power point power now but still no cig lighter, but that is fine, I only need to charge a phone and do not smoke. Thanks again, I did not notice the seperate fuse for the power point until you pointed it out. I gave you a big ole rep point!!

Was hoping if it was a fuse possibly they were interlinked and you would get power back to both. Glad you have at least one is working for now. The other one might be a ground lead like Otahyani mentioned. If you get adventuresome could pull that trim ring around radio and investigate.
