Thinking of buying a lifted 2004 excursion with 102,715 miles and the 6.0. The dealer said they just replaced the turbo,new high pressure oil pump and new driver module. Is this comon to be replaced on 6.0's

I have had 3- 7.3 in the past and heard of a lot of bad things about the early 6.0 did they get most of the bugs worked out by 2004?

Also any thing I should look out for or anything I need to know before I make the puchase

Get an oasis report from the dealer. This will show all the things done to it by them. Look for repeat history of things being replaced.

 

Definately get an oasis. If those are the only things that have been replaced thats not too bad but if a bunch of other repairs come up on the report then you're better off looking for a different truck

 

Your in my neck of the woods. I can say that I wouldn't pay more then $16k out the door. Dealers in salt lake hit the 6.0 pretty hard with the devalue stick.
