its alive
well i got the old girl to run and it seems to be running damn well. i had to adjust the float on the carb a bit as it was over filling but not it seems to be good. i also had to get a stupid bugs nest out of the fuel line, damn bees. im waiting on an air cleaner from summit then all i have left to do is fab a bracket for the throttle cable, put on the last 2 belts, and finish the exhaust. oh and i found out the radiator has a ton of leaks so it looks like ill need one of these too. after allt hat is good i have to gover over the rest of the truck to make sure its road worthy. enough here the pics and a vid

What a teriffic find. I too have a I6 and am planning a complete restoration on it. Seeing the enginge you have makes my mouth water. I can't wait to send my block and head out to get machined. Here a a few picks of the great many hours of work I have ahead. Good luck with her!

Sounds good, you being in DE is not to far from me. What type of manifold is that, that you have the four barrel mounted on. How muck and where did you buy it? Also I was looking at the block color and thought the same thing. I did some research and found that the original paint code for the block for my 78 was a dark blue, if I didn't already buy the paint I would have liked the grey too!
