9" out of an LTD...

I was going to ask if this would likely be a locker, or just another open diff. but just as I was writing this, it dawned on me, that would have 28 spline axles anyway right? Or would it for sure?

All I'm looking for is the center section.

What is the AXLE code as listed on the LTD's Warranty Plate?

1959 thru today: If the AXLE code begins with a letter: Limited Slip / If with a number, no Limited Slip.

9's in Passenger Cars have R/L specific axleshafts. 9's in F100/150's: The R/L axleshafts are the same.

There are other internals differences also, that's why I need the LTD's AXLE code.

Unfortunately the car is long gone, and I don't even have the axle in front of me. Trying to buy it from a guy.

Thanks for that info anyway though, I'll get back to you if I can get any more specifics from him.
