Info's in my sig...



My front bumper is starting to rust, what should I change it to? I hope to save up enough money to get a new paint job later this year. Should I have it painted to match the paint as well?

This is my '97 F250HD. I wasn't wild about a 2WD 3/4T at first, but now I love it. 99% of my driving is street and even last winter with 10" to 12" of snow it still did fine with some weight in the back. If I need a 4X4 I just take the wife's 5.0L AWD Mountaineer.

 

I'm checkin in here. 92 f150, 138k miles. It was cheap (1200) and runs awesome. Just normal wear and tear upkeep. I do want, one day, to convert it to 2wd. But its a keeper.

 

I got 2 of them. 1990 5.0 and a 1977 351. Love them both.

 

this was my first truck, 92 2wd 5.0 auto, only had issues on a couple slippery hills but i had crappy tires, main seal went and i sold it for $200 more then i paid for it 8months prior, have a 4x4 now.

 

my truck is 2wd. id like to convert to 4x4, keep it 8 lug and keep it coil sprung, and get the twin shock towers from an eddie bower bronco or f-150. but for now i have other projects like my stereo and twin turbo underway that need to be finished

 

mines 91 f150 done me well like everyone else does good in the snow. Its a work in progress ain't got 4 wheel drive but I still go off roaring in it he'll tore the exhaust of it last night doing that.

 

I prefer the 2wd for towing and hauling. The 4WD can't turn as sharply and often feels less controlled when going down steep grades with heavy trailers. Just my $0.02. If you look through the PSD forums, you'll see I'm not alone either

For some of us, 4-wheel drive is like wearing a parachute 24/7 & never-ever getting in a plane. My 2wd suits me for what I need it to do & I don't have to carry around all those extra parts, their complexity, weight or deal with the breakage.
