Clutch slave has no pressure

ok,, trans-new clutch is back together with new master and slave cylinder, but there is no pressure on the hydraulics. What are some trouble shooting tips to find the problem? (95 Ranger)

did you bench bleed the new MC before installing it and then did you gravity bleed the slave after connecting the MC to the slave?
