winter build install

the big day is comming next weekend i built a 302 over the winter 30 over flat top pistons edelbrock performer cam kit doulble roller edelbrock timming chain e-street heads 190/160 roller rockers performer intake edelbrock 600 cfm carb pertronix ignition and headers i am putting it in my 72 f-100 with a three on the tree and 3.89 gears. no p.s no p.b no a.c four wheel drum my question is will i be able to slide the motor in with headers on or should they be off.thanks

They should be off for ease for the ease of it.

I know on GM's you can do it, and a Ford should be easier since the frame is wider.

if u put it in without the headers on, u have to raise the motor up about 5-7" to get them in, and u might want to go ahead and do some fabing on the crossmember behind the motor, bc the headers are a very tight fit, and i possible go ahead a put the starter on b4 u put the headers on bc that is also a very tight fit... its very dihartening when u get everything all hooked up and ur headers wont fit! haha, i speak from experience!
