I get a little box with like a gray something in it, Maybe a mountain. Not a red X like the other guy gets. This is trying to upload to my albums where I can get the forum codes to post pics in threads. There is no forum codes in the Gallery that I can find so it does me no good to use to post pics in threads.

 

Well now the edit gallery thing is gone and with it all my Pic's. I can upload now to the picture album place but where is the pics I had before?

 

the link to the gallery is up in the top nav, but I am returning it to the userCP. apologies for thinking we could remove it.

 

I don't have a prob with moving it or even removing it. But let me move my pic's first. And I can't do that yet till the boys are in bed. I can't chase after them and do this right now.

You should be able to upload to albums on the site, but not galleries, they are 'view only' now.

No, there is something else afoot, and I can't blame anything on your end unfortunately

 

Thanks for working on it. I was able to upload a pic a little bit ago and that was the first in a long time. So when I have some time I will clean my albums up and try and post what I need to..

yes. albums only. the galleries went to view only over a year ago if i remember correctly.
maybe longer than that even.

 

guess I should stop telling people to create a gallery!..

and you should take the 'new Album' link off the manage gallery page

and you should take out all the edit functions.. upload functions if they no longer work.. I just tried to upload a pic to my gallery and it let me pick it , AND upload it, only to show the dead image box after.

and it would have been nice to see a one line notice that gallerys are now view only when I went there.. and a link to the new album feature..

So maybe YOU went there a year ago, but it LOOKS like its supposed to work, and doesn't..

and, turn off the limits.. I'll buy you a 3tb disk..

the only reason i know it has been at least a year is because the last photo i added to one of my galleries was 2 years ago.
but i seem to remember the albums starting a year or two ago, and it was mentioned that the galleries were going view only when the albums were introduced.
i agree with you that non working functions should be removed from the user control panel.
i will recommend it in the moderators forum to the higher-ups.
