Speedometer issue
The truck: 2006 F350 DRW Cab + Chassis (with service body on it) 4x4 with a 9' Fisher plow
The problem: The speedometer reads 40mph even with the truck in park, engine off, and keys in my pocket. It increases like normal but it acts like 40mph is zero.
The background: We had a very large snow storm for our area (over 2 feet) and the truck was being backed through the snow and was ramming hard into piles so snow could've potentially gotten into anything on the underside of the truck and something could've been rattled around and jarred pretty hard. I first noticed it on my way home after it sat all day.

They are more apt to do it when it's cold. Mine pi$$es me off all winter, then goes back to normal in the summer. It should be a safety recall as far as I'm concerned, but since most people don't live in a cold enough climate, and not all of them do it, Ford managed to get away with it. My dealership quoted me $500 for the speedo plus install. I just put up with it. It amazes me they put 25 cent speedos in a $60,000 truck...

I'm not upset. When I'm upset, I swear a lot more.
As soon as you drive it for an hour or so and it warms up inside, the speedometer starts to work normal again. And it's a fairly common complaint from what I've read on the SD forums. I still think a truck that costs this much should have a decent speedometer in it. Just my opinion, I could be wrong. I was wrong once before.
