Comp Xtreme 4x4 250 H. Hands down, it's the best cam you're gonna get for brutal mid range torque, and lots of horsepower all over the place. I had the 302 version of this cam, which is the same duration with slightly smaller lift and a little tighter LSA, but I was very happy with the power it made. The 4x4 cams are designed for 351W, but you can run it in your 302 by simply changing the firing order to the 351 order. Check either Summit or Jeg's catalogues, it's under 4x4 cams, and listed for the 351 Motor. Those heads will be awesome, and will work very well with this cam. The split pattern design will really do wonders for you by helping along the exhaust flow through the heads, because even aftermarket Ford heads are a little slow on the exhaust side. Oh yeah, and I got about the same gas milage as stock, but with about 2 1/2 ***-loads more power! TK

I am running the 282H in my 84 F 150 302 and it is awsome. Stock heads Performer RPM and Motorcraft Spread bore from a 72 351Clevor I had sitting around. First tried it with my 500 cfm Motorcraft I was running before the cam change and it just didn't seem to be enough, swapped carbs and ohh boy. Still begins to float the valves at around 6300rpm but it gets there in a hurry. Makes mince meat out of chevy's and unsuspecting Mustangs, untill the areo thang takes over. Oh yes the cam is reccommended for manual trans, which I have and 3.50 gears. macs
