what is rooted? easy, I'm old, and get my feelings hurt easy.....hehehe...... thinking about a droid x. which is better?

 

well if you just want to use your phone the way it is the drois x is awesome.. it is much harder to root.. id you want to hack your phone and really use it to its potential..

rooting is hacking your phone so that you have fullacess to it.. meaning getting around the verizon and motorola blocks that are on it...like for example i now can wirelessly tether my phone to my laptop and have free internet where ever i have phone service..

 

I was looking into it and they say you have to be careful or you can lock you phone up.

kathy its true.. but i found a safe way to do it.. my friend did it for me.. i will get him to email me the way to do it.. it is pretty easy and takeas about an hour to do it.. but well worht it...

 

no it isnt all that hard... i recommend getting a droid 2 if you want to hack it.. it is a lot easier than a droid x

 

Thanks!! I don't want anything to happen to the phone. It was a gift and I use it at times to get my FTE fix. LOL
