Wink Flex Fuel 3.0

I am looking at buying a 2000 Ranger with a 3.0 V6 that IS flex fuel equipped.
I had started anouther thread about the truck itself and had some great replies and one cautioned about running a FF truck on the 10% ethanol fuels we have today, I had never heard of that-they said that it would/could damage the FF module that cost several hundred dollars to replace-I have no idea what would be a symtom of a FF module going bad - I understand the FF engine is designed to run on either regular gasoline OR Ethanol 85-something like that so I wouldn't think that a 10% mix would hurt anything but I could be wrong....any thoughts? Thanks!

ive been running 10% for years never had a problem, now i have heard of people running reg gas then switching right to 85% an having a problem but youll never have a prob with 10%, as all engines can run on 10%.

not sure why someone said you can't run FF truck on 10%.
FF is designed to run on all gas, 10% and E85.
They will soon be changing the 10% to 15 and 20 so all of our normal trucks will be burning up piles of garbage when yours will still be running strong
