I saw there was some major winds out there which was more of an issue...
Out here in Indiana (at least northern Indiana)...it is completely FLAT so winds like that really play havoc with snow removal...imagine a 1/2 to 1 mile long unplanted corn field as flat as a playing card with snow coming down and then imagine a 20-40mph wind whipping across it...and then imagine a county road sitting at the end of that wind tunnel...the county plows the road and as they pass by the road is almost immediately recovered and drifted closed...a no win situation for the county...!
Thankfully out there you guys have some "terrain" to help break up the winds...but near 50mph...I don't care where you are...that snow is going to blow!!!...make sure you have plenty of petrol for that snow blower!...good luck!!!...I'll think of you as I go to my Dr's appointment later today...not a fun one either...but something I have been putting off long enough...nothing serious...just not fun...

Hope everything turns out ok Joe. If it helps any brother, I've got one of those non-fun age induced doctor appts coming up this next year myself.

Phil,
Man that bites to be sick like that...I've had food poisoning twice in my life...once when I was in the dorms in college and half the dorms had it...it wasn't fun running half way down the hall to the head passing someone going the other way that had just evacuated their stomach and bowels like you were going to do!...
The other time it hit me at home just a few years ago after eating cat...urh I mean chicken at a chinese place...the last thing I remember was puking and then passing out...I woke up on the floor with my wife standing over me asking "what are you doing on the floor?"
So I can relate...it stinks and there is no worse feeling than puking and puking and not stopping...
The good news is it usually doesn't stick around too long...just keep drinking water and gatorade type drinks to keep you from becoming dehydrated.
I'm glad you had a good Christmas at least!
Have you been able to head over to the website I sent to you to see about any intern jobs yet?...just curious.
Hope you feel better my friend.
Take care,
joe.
