There was a place in the 4-wheeling mags selling sets (4) of those for $440 brand new including shipping.
I tried to get a hold of them and they never got back to me.

I read about a guy who got a contract to re-tire all of the Hummvees on a base (in KY if I remember right) and he got all of the "old" tires. He took brand new tires off of some of them and put the same thing right back on.
More Gov't waste!

I will do that. They were cheap enough but every penny counts these days. I have noticed an increase in mpg with these tires but have not tried to pull anything yet. I get the feeling I may be using the low granny to get moving with a load behind her lol.

Ya they go by length of service not mileage. These I got for $521 including shipping (I bought 5 so I would have a matching spare).

That's a good price. The deal I rtied to get would have been $550 for 5 if they would have split up a set.
That's smart buying 5 if you rotate in the spare on rotations.
I'm too cheap to buy 5, I just use an odd-ball spare of the same diameter.

Definitely rotate the full size spare through. You'll get more miles out of those tires.

That is the plan. I just hate spending the money gettint the spare put on one of my wheels. I only have a standerd steel wheel for my spare. I am to cheap to buy one of these outlaww II's. It seems they are high doller items in our lug pattern when you can find them lol.

Well, you've got 5k miles to find one on the cheap. Keep your ears down for one on ebay and craigslist.

That's a damn nice Bronco. A guy who works for the same company as I do has a really nice '86, but it's light blue. It runs excellent and it's his daily driver.
