engine swap
hey i have a 01 f-150, 4x4 v-6 I want to put a 460 in it and i was wondering if my 4.2 tranny would bolt up or if i need a different bellhousing ar transmission. If anybody knows what to tell me or any advice will help me alot, im just trying to figure out what i need before i start on it, i'm really a chevrolet man but i wanted to keep it all the same on this project. thanks

why? the 460 swap would require ALOT of time and money, and new parts. but if you insist, you need a new transmission, probably some custom tunnel work to fit the tranny. then a matching transfercase, and custom driveshafts. not to mention, your gauges probably wouldnt work.
