Sideview mirror

I'm having problems with my passenger sideview mirror. It seams that every time that it gets folded in it won't go back to the middle position. It seams that it is loose. Is there a way to tighten it up or do I need to replace the whole mirror?

I'll try & help you as I have some experiance with the TOWING mirrorsnot the smaller "flag-style mirrors):I've had both of mine on my LATE '99 completely apart to have the arms powdercoated: there are pins that hold the arms to the mirror head that are held in place with "C" clips, there is really only 1 way these things go unless possibly a clip fell out of yours-mine are power adjustible-juat the main head and not the small convex one on the bottom and are manual-swing in & out-anyway to get into them and see if the clips have fallen out you'll have to take the mirror completely off the door and take it apart to see whats going on-hope this helps a bit, LMK if I can help more I will sure try!-Rick
