Hypertech Powerprogrammer question

Origionally id never buy one but i found one with the right price. The only thing is, it says its for a 2001 7.3, Well i have a 2000 7.3. Is this compatible? I cant find anything online about it. The part number is 41012

I didn't buy it yet haha, i just found one very cheap and was considering it for the low low price that it is lol. I mean LOW. I just find it so odd that they would year them out? when every other one is 99-03 solid.

my personnal experience with hypertech was a good one. ran it for probably close to nine years. the two times i had problems with it thier tech department was friendly, helpful and resolved the issue in a timely manor. the first time i sent it to them they fixed it and returned it, the second time they replaced it with a new one. if the money is right give it a try, it is better than stock but not equal to a custom tune.

Is the case black or blue?
The one for my 2000 is 41039,the lablel says for 99-2000.This is my second one,the first had a blue case and was replaced under warranty about '04 after my PCM was replaced and i don't remember the number for it
If it reads codes it may be worth something for that purpose
