Voltage issues
I have a passed down 1994 F-150, 300 six, that is acting up recently. When I start it the voltage meter reads on the low end, if I drive it it will continue to drop until ultimately the truck shuts off. On the other hand if I let it idle at start up for about 20 mins the volt meter will suddenly jump to normal and all is fine, she runs like a champ. Like I said it was passed down to me so I don't know the full history of the truck but do know the alternator was replaced less than 3 years ago.
I have changed batteries and my next move would be the alternator, even though it is less than 3 years old.
Any other ideas before I go spend $100 would be greatly appreciated!!
