There’s just something about Ford Truck Enthusiasts Marketplace that no other marketplace can touch. While it’s true you can similar trucks, parts, and memorabilia elsewhere, none have the community we have here. Our forum members and our vendors make the marketplace what it is: a home for the Ford truck enthusiast.
Here’s something amazing we found the other day: a unique 1995 F-350 its seller says is “the one Ford never built.” After looking at the listing, we understand why that is.
“Be the king of the job site with this beast,” says the seller, DIYMechanic. “This thing is built for work. The truck belonged to a fellow FTE’er until I purchased it last summer as a part of a ‘lot’ of parts trucks and parts. I have spent the last little while ironing out a few small kinks in the truck, and I will continue to do so until it is sold. This truck was built with towing and work in mind and it does it very, very well.”
Here’s what this unique truck has going for it. First off, it has the 7.3-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8, which is paired with a five-speed ZF manual. The engine includes an electric fuel pump conversion, new high-pressure oil pump, an intercooler from a 6.0-liter Power Stroke, and a Borg-Warner Turbo.
The ZF was modded, as well. It’s a wide-ratio five-speed “from a big block truck that is installed into a diesel pattern transmission housing,” per the seller. The transmission’s second and third gears are close to each other, which is helpful when it comes to towing.
The interior of the F-350’s crew cab is well-used, with some tears in the cloth on the driver’s side of the front bench. The rest of the cloth is intact, ready to take an entire crew of six to the next job on the list. One of the gauges needs repair, and the power windows on the right need work, too. Otherwise, it’s a non-fussy place to be.
Out back is the rest of the story. This F-350 is a long-bed dually with a hitch for goose-neck trailers. Combined with the crew cab and the powertrain, the truck is ready to work hard all day long, all day strong.
“The truck is not ‘show truck clean’ because that wasn’t the intent,” the seller says. “It was built to be ‘just an old work truck,’ but it’s one mean old work truck, indeed. This truck looks like it means business, and it has the guts to back up the appearances.”
The Ohio-based seller is asking $11,000 for this one-of-a-kind F-350. And as always, if this rig isn’t for you, we have more where this came from, all at the Ford Truck Enthusiasts Marketplace. Stop by today!
