A Personal Note from The Editor

2019 F-250 Magma Red

Navigating online requires dodging a metric ton of advertising and PR nonsense, so I just wanted to say a few words about the contest and Chemical Guys in particular.

First, thank you so much for reading and being a part of the FTE community. It means a lot and I feel so fortunate that my job includes writing and photographing and filming my favorite trucks. Thank you for making that all possible. In some small way, I hope contests like these show our deep appreciation for you being the heart and soul of our site.

Next, because Chemical Guys was kind enough to sponsor this event, I thought it was important to point out how amazing they are as people and not just chemical engineers. My colleagues and I actually live a few miles away from Chemical Guys HQ in Gardena, CA. So, even before I had this particular job, I was in their store every month and watching their detailing videos on YouTube to learn how to maintain my Fords.

These guys — from the CEO down to the customer service agents — are the real deal.

American made products. A product for every taste, need, and niche. And really, really good people. Even if you don’t win this contest, I personally recommend checking out their products if you get a chance.
