The Ford F 250 Super Crew 4×4 Pirelli Scorpion ATR is a premium On/Off road all-terrain light truck tire with superior quality. The Pirelli Scorpion ATR tire is intended for use on pickup trucks, crossovers, and sport utility vehicles.

Characteristics of the Pirelli Scorpion ATR
Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires provide On/Off road all-terrain capabilities: comfort and civility, easy on-road handling, off-road rough terrain grip and maneuverability, excellent wet road traction, silica-enhanced tread compound with a symmetric all-terrain tread pattern, center circumferential grooves, and lateral shoulder grooves with twin steel belts, wrapped nylon, and polyester cord body. These tires are Original Equipment (OE) for the Ford F-250, but are also sold in sets of four or axle pairs to owners that drive vehicles that are equal in load range, overall vehicle weight, speed rating stipulations, and match the necessary tire size of the original tire.

Probable road and driving conditions are considered when using Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires. These tires can handle driving conditions in light snow, and are highly recommended for more adverse weather circumstances including deep snow and wet traction.

The Pirelli Scorpion ATR tire range in weight from 25 to 68 pounds and have a maximum load capacity of 1565 to 3415 pounds. The price of each tire ranges from $85.00 to $420.00, depending on the specifications.

Pirelli Scorpion ATR Warranty

The tread life warranty on the Pirelli Scorpion ATR is 40,000 miles (P-metric tires) and is excluded from the Eurometric and LT sizes. The uniformity warranty covers the first 2/32″ of wear. The Pirelli Scorpion ATR offers no manufacturer Road Hazard Warranty but may be available for an additional fee. However the Workmanship and Material Warranty is valid for an unlimited time and offers free replacement for the first 2/32″ of wear. The Pirelli Scorpion ATR warranty received a 3.5 (out of 4) rating.

Pirelli Scorpion ATR Review

Eighty three percent of people surveyed online stated that they would “probably” purchase this tire again.  Designed to “master long highway trips,” the tire tread wear scored 8.7 (out of 10), which is considered “superior.” The hydroplaning resistance and wet traction scored 8.8 and 9.0, respectfully (out of 10), which is in the “superior” range. These tires sport a center rib and large shoulder and independent tread blocks for stability, exceptional steering, comfort from noise on-road, and off-road traction. As far as light snow traction and deep snow traction, the Pirelli Scorpion ATR scored 8.4 and 7.8, respectfully.

As for cornering stability and tire tread, the Pirelli Scorpion ATR scored 9.1 and 8.7 and an impressive 9.3 for dry traction – all considered superior. Also in the superior category, the Pirelli Scorpion ATR scored a 9.1 in steering response, an 8.9 for noise comfort, and an 8.7 for ride comfort.

Overall, the Scorpion ATR is considered to be a superior tire and did not score unacceptable (0-2.5), fair (2.6-4.5), or good (84.6-6.5) in any of the 12 categories surveyed. Out of the 71 tires that were graded and surveyed, the Pirelli Scorpion ATR scored 8.7 out of 8.8 and ranked number 3.
