Bronco 3:16 – Stone Cold Steve Austin’s Ride
If you’re a professional sports entertainer like Steve Austin, what you drive says a lot about who you are. As someone who kicks ass for a living, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that he drives a Ford Bronco. But why?
Motor Trend recently featured Stone Cold Steve Austin in their Celebrity Drive special. Among owning some pretty cool whips, including a 1988 Dodge Ramcharger, Mr. Austin owns a 1995 Ford Bronco.
He tells Motor Trend, “That 95 Bronco will be mine when I’m dead. I will never sell that vehicle. Ever.” He purchased the ride on eBay a few years ago and it is one of his two daily drivers. His other is a Range Rover.
With around 40,000 miles on the clock, Austin’s Bronco is in pretty stellar shape. While he admits that compared to a modern vehicle it is missing a lot of luxury features, but in the general “all-around bad-ass truck,” he says it’s hard to beat.
Aside from the off-road credentials, he loves the interior from that particular generation. “The motor will last forever, and the interior of the Ford Bronco, that generation, is so cavernous, there’s just so much room in there,” says Austin. He’s not a small man by any standard, so having a lot of space is important.
