  • STUMBLE ON HEAVY DECELERATION AND/OR TIP-OUT IN MANUAL 2 – 5.4L 3V WITH 4R75E

ISSUE:

Some 2005 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 5.4L 3V engine and 4R75E transmission may exhibit a stumble on heavy deceleration and/or a stumble when tipping out of the throttle with the transmission in Manual 2 (Second). This may be more noticeable during trailer towing.

ACTION:

Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS release B43.14 and higher or B44.4 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the B44 CD. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraft.com.
