The Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may illuminate and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1506 may be stored in continuous memory and/or the engine idle speed may be higher than expected. This may be caused by black plastic flash from idle air bypass hose becoming lodged in the Idle Air Control (IAC) bypass valve.
