Step #3 - Insert phone The system is a bit expensive, but worth the price of entry. If I get a new truck, I just have to buy a new base. New phone...then just buy a new holder component. Cool design. The system is very solid. It doesn't bounce or shift as I'm driving. It also doesn't move when I'm tapping away at the screen. The best part is after 5 weeks of solid use, it hasn't induced any noise (creaks or squeaks). The system holds the phone by friction. At first it took two hands to insert/remove the phone, but now I only need to hands to remove the phone. Although it is easier to insert the phone, it still has a solid grip on the phone.
