Cleaned up the motor, disconnected the fuel line to the pump, added fuel to the carb via the vent, and she fired right up. Ran a fuel line from the pump to a gas can and let he run. Very strong, no smoke, and no noises. I bet it would pass smog as all the smog equipment is there. Has over $800 in dmv fees though.... Gotta say this motor (minus the smog crap, and with a 4 bbl intake and carb) would look great under the hood of the '58.....
