Truck Ordered. Milestones Before Delivery?

Truck Ordered. Milestones Before Delivery?
As posted, I ordered my truck on 3/18.
What milestones can I expect before delivery and about how long should they be? I'm not in a hurry, but I've managed enough large projects to know what happens when you don't track progress to schedule.
For example, does a build date come first? VIN assignment?Should I see it two weeks in? Etc.
TIA,
Greg J

It's been going pretty fast lately. The first big on is assigning a VIN. This normally also comes near the scheduled in plant dates. Then you get the Dealer ETA. To see that it's on track the next step is getting "bucked" which means picked up for build, then it will be in the plant. Finally it will be in transit. Then you'll be enjoying it!

I'm replying on my phone do I cannot get the link, but there is another thread with a tracking spreadsheet. You can look at the milestones there and track your own and that helps gather these metrics. I got my VIN on 11 days, honestly it was maybe a day less that the dealer got it unless Ford told them about the VIN on a Sunday. Normally window sticker is anywhere from a week later to some guys have taken 3 weeks from VIN to window sticker, but normally a week after VIN. Also getting the window sticker, and more important the date are the bottom, marks when it has completed "In Order Processing" status and moved to the "In Production" status. Generally 8 days following the window sticker date, is your actual build date. Normally within a day (unless you get the spray on bed liner, as that gets done at a different location after the truck is buult) the status changes to "In Transit" and the first ETA you get is the default 3 weeks from the beginning of the "In Transit" status. As it moves through transit you will get periodic updates with new ETA 's. Then finally, you don't get the truck the day it is delivered, the dealership will have it for a day or 2 going through a PDI, Then you get your truck.
