New Project: '85 Bullnose

Hey all!

As of yesterday, I am now the proud owner of an '85 F150 4x4 I've named Lari. As it sits, she has a 4.9L with (I think) a T-19 4 speed. No air, no carpet, just a good no frills old truck.

Pics to come shortly!

VIN and Cert Label will help you out a lot. Bill (NumberDummy) is "the man" when it comes to deciphering our trucks. We look forward to the pics !

Paid $1800 and everything works, apart from the radio, which doesn't bother me because this thing sounds great.

Once, good friend....too funny. As long as you got it off before any transmittable diseases could take hold, it's all good.

Kinda looks like it could be an 8-track player?

Could very well be. However, I'm thinking it'll be replaced with a RetroSounds deck of some sort in the near future. I'd like to keep everything relatively stock looking, but still have capability.

Ah, the DMV. Where hopes and dreams go to die. I've spent all morning there and they finally reached the conclusion that my truck, which has no catalytic converter, will not pass emissions in Maricopa county. I could've told them that (and I did at the start of the process). Looks like I'm going to Midas for a new exhaust system. Still, at least I can say the project has officially started.

In Maryland I was able to get historic tags. No emissions or safety inspections required. Just can't use it as a primary source of transportation.
