I have considered something similar, only using an existing set up from a Ford Probe with the sensors/pickups from the same vehicle. Just as something to play with, a lot less expensive and even more modern. I was going to try this with our 91 Ranger PUT. I'm ptretty sure that it would work and look really neat. Probably about $50.00 from the U-Pull-It yard.
