I went with the 6.6 for a few reasons. #1, the 'Ford' oval on the valve cover and intake, for that extra touch of class in an old truck.
#2, the old hot rodder's motto of sticking a big engine in something it wasnt meant for.
#3, it has way more power potential than the IDI, and while I like the Cummins 6BT, there's just too many of em. I actually used to own a Dodge/Cummins, and this 6.6 sounds SOOO much better.

The downfall is the length, it's about the same as trying to put a DT466 in a Super Duty.
I'm going to run the Sterling as is, unless the width is really that bad.

Boxing the frame should be plenty for all I'm going to do with it. It's only about 100 pounds more than a 6BT.
