My Uncle's 2000 F-250 had the captains chairs with the console and I like it a lot better than the bench seat I have in my 05'. Any help? BTW would I have to get all new chairs, or just can I take out the center part and add on armrests.
I did this modification. I just removed the bench. Purchased used captains chairs and console for $600. Sold mine for $200. So cost me $400 bucks. I don't regret it at all. Just loose 1 person seating capacity. All the holes lined up. You will have 2 extra holes that you will just plug with the old bolts. All F250/F350 were prewired for power seats so the wires are already there and plug right in. The holes for the console are already in the floorboard, but you will need to put some sort of retainer bolt or I used a plastic insert that fit perfect in the hole and a screw screwed tightly into it.
