Fuel pressure Regulator location

I have a 2002 F150 4.6 with the same starting problem that I have read about in previous post's about hard to start after shutting engine off and setting for approx. 30 minutes then trying to start again. I have narrowed it down to the fuel pressure regulator. I can cycle the ignition 4 or 5 times and it does start right up. However, from reading the posts I understand the FPR should be located on the fuel rail and be a easy replacement. Also looking at pictures online of the replacement FPR and the only thing that looks like the one it calls for is made onto the fuel rail on my truck. My question is has anyone ran into one that is made onto the fuel rail? It is possible that I am looking at the wrong part on the truck but this is the only one that looks just like the pictures but is not a quick change part. This one would require replacing the entire fuel rail assembly.
Thanks,
