There is a recall for that switch on the brake master cylinder so you can phone in your vin and they should be able to tell you if it was ever upgraded on yours, or take it in and they can look at it and should be able to tell. Mine was replaced, and still had the same problem.

Yes, mine has been replaced in the recall. Since I have only had this X for a couple weeks, I have no clue if it worked before or after that. Oasis report doesn't show squat either.
