So my sister went to Mr. Transmission and they said about $900 to replace the OD band so they checked the computer ...no codes, pulled transmission and there was metal everywhere. Said a clip came loose and wrecked everything. $ 3300 including taxes to fix. It is a 4R75W aparently rare and expensive to fix. I found some used locally $1100 to $1200 with 100 to 120000 km.
She asked how much to take it out of the shop as is and they droped 10% off to make it $3000. So that's what she is doing.
