If ya want, you can just unbolt the entire hub assembly (its only held onto the axle by 4 bolts) and I'm 97% it will swap right over. I had to do that my 88 when I got it, it has a Dana 70 rear axle, and I'm pretty sure the spare I axle I found was a Sterling 10.25
