I can hear the latch clicking into the fully closed (2nd) position when I shut the door gently, so I know that's not the problem. The striker plate is immovable, leaving the latch. Larry, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. If you haven't already you should try this: loosen the two screws securing the lower striker latch plate (about one turn each) and strike the plate inboard.The anchor plates float within the body and this will allow some adjustment.
