I wouldn't think that it would....basically you are just rotating around that hole that bolts up the "U" anyway, so that hole is in the same position.
The only reason I brought it up is I noticed in the picture you didn't have the shifters hooked up yet and I was thinking that perhaps it might have interfered with the back shifter later on and yo might have flipped it back at that point.
When I take pictures of things as I'm putting them back together, sometimes I will mis install a part, then have to correct it later on in the assembly...But I don't remember to mention it in the pictures.
If it works ok - go for it....I love these trucks, they are so forgiving!
