The 99-02 had issues with the spark plugs coming loose; just check them every now and then and you should be ok. I think there may be more, and one of the GEN 2 owners will chime in.

Otherwise, take it for a test spin and don't be afraid to get happy with the GO pedal. The GEN 2's are solid trucks and can tow/haul the same as any other F-150.
