You may find that your tank will get water inside from condensation. If the tank is cool and the sun comes out, it will warm the outside of the tank causing condensation on the inside. If it was under the truck, your bed would block the sun. Also, how are you going to mount it? Be sure to isolate it from metal to metal contact. Hope I helped.
