Sometimes...not always, you can ID the engine IF the dizzy is original...look on the base of the dizzy, below the rim of the cap. There will be a number code there like: C8AF-12127-F.

Is the dizzy a dual point distributor? Ford p/n: C0AZ-12127-L. Marked >> C5AF-12127-E.
