A 1962 F250 would have one of three engines. 1. 223 inline six, 2. 262 inline six or 3. 292 Y block V8 with either 2 or 4 barrel carb. The 4 bar. carb was used on the heavy duty engine.

What is the vin code? this will tell the engine. The 4th digit of the serial number.

The FE engines were not factory options until the 1965 model year.
