An supercharger such as paxton, vortec at al, can be made to work very well with a carbuerator just fine.

All you need to do is extend the hose from the supercharger to the carb, and weld together (or have welded) a bonnet that encases the carb. Paxton many years ago used to make such bonnets, but they don't anymore.

Essentially, its a box that has a matching carb pad inside, it bolts to the intake manifold, and your carb bolts to the inside of the box, on the bottom. Then you run your fuel lines through bulkhead fittings in the box as well as vaccum hoses, and you extend the throttle shaft out the side of the box, putting it through a tight grommet. Use stronger springs to make up for the grommet's binding, or grease it good, and make a gasket and a cover that goes on top.

Its a box, nothing more.
