I have a 2006 F350 6.0 and use the Torque OBD app on my Android tablet for my gauges. I haven't had a diesel truck before, so please excuse my ignorance
. It was 45 degrees this morning and I went out for a drive in some foothills of NC. After 25 minutes of run time, (the last 15 at 55-60 mph) the highest the engine coolant temp got to was 183 degrees and went as low as 172 when going downhill. The engine oil temp ran between 183 and 191. As I understand it, the thermostat is not supposed to open until coolant temp hits 190. Is my thermostat stuck open?
Thanks for your help!
