Its true. You could probably add the switch, and barring any problems, it might work just fine. BUT, Ford liability would cease at the time of the change. Would it be worth the trouble? Probably not. Better to follow most, if not all, manufacturers guidelines stating to put the child carrier in the back seat, where it belongs.
